20% deposit
The deposit starts confirmation work after you approve the written proposal.
Large-order review
Orders above USD 20,000 require team confirmation before payment.
Receipt trail
Payment timing, inclusions, and supplier conditions stay attached to your order record.
Primary currency
LocalKey quotes and collects in USD for current China trips. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank or card issuer handles the conversion on its side.
Online card payment only
LocalKey accepts online Stripe card payment. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are supported subject to Stripe availability, fraud checks, and card issuer approval.
No offline bank payment
LocalKey does not offer offline bank transfer as a fallback. Keeping payment online gives travelers a clearer checkout record and a consistent receipt trail.
Fees and exchange rates
Stripe card processing cost is absorbed by LocalKey and is not added as a separate card fee. Your card issuer may still apply foreign exchange or banking charges depending on your card and billing currency.
Large-order review
Orders above USD 20,000 require email confirmation from the LocalKey team before payment. This gives both sides time to confirm scope, supplier commitments, and payment timing.
Payment timeline
Payment follows the planning process, not a mystery checkout flow.
Step 1
Proposal accepted
You approve the route direction, scope, price, and included services.
Step 2
20% deposit due within 7 days
The non-refundable deposit is paid online by Stripe card and starts confirmation work.
Step 3
Balance due 60 days before departure
The remaining balance is paid online by Stripe card before final supplier confirmation is closed.
Step 4
Confirmation and final docs
Confirmation is issued, then final documents and support contacts are shared before travel.
