Yes. Dujiangyan — 都江堰 — is a living irrigation system on the Minjiang: weir works that still send water to the Chengdu plains. That is the sit. A locked coach that sells "Dujiangyan" as a photo stop plus Qingcheng temples the same afternoon is a different SKU. I am Frank Zhang. The weir is one half of a World Heritage listing. The UNESCO World Heritage page for Mount Qingcheng and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System records the property inscribed in 2000, criteria (ii)(iv)(vi), dossier 1001. The Chinese title on the same page is 青城山—都江堰. China's National Cultural Heritage Administration page titles the listing 青城山-都江堰; places the heritage in 四川省都江堰市; lists the same three criteria; dates the inscription to 2000; and dates the irrigation system to the 3rd century BCE. UNESCO's brief synthesis places the works in the western Chengdu flatlands at the junction of the Sichuan basin and the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, and says the system was originally constructed around 256 BC, then modified and enlarged in the Tang, Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties. I will not invent a 2026 ticket price, an opening-hour table, a bus number, a visitor count, or a ranked "best viewpoint." Those change. UNESCO and NCHA keep the criteria, 四川省都江堰市, around 256 BC / 公元前3世纪, 2250+ years of continuous function, the Minjiang / 岷江, the Chengdu plains farmland, 668,700 hectares in the UNESCO brief, and the named Weir Works. Arrive at one weir approach. Walk the path the site already uses toward the open Weir Works. Sit if a platform or terrace is open. Say 都江堰, or a named work — 鱼嘴, 飞沙堰, 宝瓶口 — if you need a word. Photograph only if the site allows it. Do not buy a locked departure that sells the weir plus Qingcheng as stop one through two on a commission day.
Pay by QR for a ticket if the site uses QR. Set up Alipay for foreigners before you want the day, not at the gate. Cash still appears in smaller rooms. Do not count on English on every path.

Do I need a Dujiangyan tour to see the weir?
