Yes. Mount Wuyi is mixed cultural and natural World Heritage you sit: Nine-Bend River gorges, neo-Confucian academies, and a largely intact subtropical forest. That is the sit. A locked coach that sells a "Wuyi mountain tour" as a Nine-Bend raft plus temple combo is a different SKU. This page is how an independent traveler sits Mount Wuyi — Independent or Private Guided — without buying the Wuyi tour.
The mountain is a World Heritage listing. The UNESCO World Heritage page for Mount Wuyi records the property inscribed in 1999, with a minor boundary modification in 2017, dossier 911bis, criteria (iii)(vi)(vii)(x), 107,044 ha plus a 40,170 ha buffer, in Fujian, south-east China. UNESCO and NCHA keep four named protection units under one mixed file. Keep them apart when you plan the day. A brochure that stacks the river, the scenic area, the nature reserve, and the Han city into one timed loop is a group product.

Go toward Mount Wuyi as NCHA places it: Wuyishan City in Nanping, Fujian, with the listing also reaching Yanshan County in Shangrao, Jiangxi. The official files do not publish a 2026 bus number, a gate price, or a raft fare on those pages, so we will not invent any of them. Arrive at one river stretch or one open path. Walk the cliff track UNESCO already names if it is open. Sit if a pavilion, academy, or riverbank is open. Say Wǔyí Shān or Jiǔqū Xī if you need a name. Photograph gorges and red sandstone only if the site allows it. Do not buy a locked departure that sells the river, a temple ruin, and a tea hard-sell as stop two, three, and four on a commission day.
